Friendly and accommodating staff. I took my family to celebrate my birthday but I have been before. There is a modern and open feel to the building having been refurbished in recent years.We all agreed the food was good and I found the prices reasonable. They also have an OAP menu. Drink selection is OK and about normal for a pub that focuses on food primarily.There is plenty of outdoor seating available and a children's play area nearby. Overall, this is a great family-friendly pub which is especially good to visit in the summer.
Visited on 23rd January for some food. Chicken sharer was bang average, the best part was the 'peri peri sauce' which was nandos sauce in a little saucer. Me and the girlfriend ordered fillet steak. I ordered mine medium my girlfriend the same. Mine came well done bland tasteless and underneath it was cremated, like I couldn't cut through it so had to cut round it. My girlfriend was a little on the well done side without cremation. If I was been honest it took a while to chew and swallow. The only reason this gets a 2* is because the service was lovely. The chef 100% needs a lesson in cooking. The building is beautiful and that about it. Don't waste your time or money.
Fantastic relaxing place to be , food and drinks are top notch. Staff are very polite , the place is spotless with plenty of sitting area for many many people. Very comfy , music is at a decent volume they even have a big tv screen. 5 star place , i now come hear a few nights a week
A lovely warm and friendly place to eat, the food is beautiful the staff are lovely friendly and very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. We've been coming to this lovely old pub a lot of years and I highly recommend it . Definitely a 5 stars awarded
Great place to eat. Can be a little noisy when busy especially if your put in the smaller room, but other wise it's got a great atmosphere.The Sunday lunch is very tasty and filling. The menue has recently changed so there are new things to try. The puddings are very sweet and some decedent. The light refreshments are great as are the choices of alcoholic drinks.
